Glenn S. Quader, a native of Washington, D.C., received his training at the Universities of Illinois, Miami, Florida International, and Indiana University. He has worked extensively as a performer, conductor, session musician, and educator in the Eastern U.S. and Northern Europe. Mr. Quader was a saxophonist in the critically acclaimed Capital Wind Symphony, as well as serving on the artistic advisory board. As a bassist, Mr. Quader has recorded at many of the region's top studios, and has toured much of Europe in various ensembles ranging from classical to contemporary. He is founder of the Washington Youth Wind Symphony at the Levine School of Music in Washington, D.C.. In 1996, Mr. Quader created the department of music at the North Broward Preparatory School in Lighthouse Point. He later expanded the program to the school's Coconut Creek campus and has since led ensembles to top honors in national competition. In 1999, Mr. Quader co-founded the Florida Youth Conservatory and introduced the FYC Summer Music Camp, Broward County's first full summer camp dedicated to musical performance. The FYC now oversees the music department in its entirety at the North Broward Preparatory Schools, the new home of the FYC. In addition, Mr. Quader serves as Conductor of the Broward Symphony Orchestra, based at the Broward Community College Central campus, in Davie Florida.
